Con experiencia de más de 15 años, Sergio es contador publico certificado y abogado. Además, es Vicepresidente de la Comisión de Contribuciones Locales zona centro del Instituto Mexicano de Contadores. Públicos e integrante de la Comisión de Contribuciones Locales y de la Comisión de Desarrollo en Seguridad Social del Colegio de Contadores Públicos de México.
Especialista en Seguridad Social y en Desarrollo de Competencias Gerenciales por la Universidad Panamericana, Maestría en Impuestos y actualmente cursando el Doctorado en Ciencias de lo Fiscal por el Instituto de Especialización para Ejecutivos, ha escrito numerosos artículos en revistas como “Consultorio Fiscal de la UNAM” y participado como expositor en diversos foros.
Comenzó su carrera profesional en PriceWaterhouseCoopers en 2002, posteriormente en KPMG donde fungió como gerente senior de la división de impuestos línea de servicios de Sueldos y Beneficios | Contribuciones Locales.
Cuenta con experiencia de más de 18 años en la elaboración de dictámenes para efectos del Seguro Social, INFONAVIT y Contribuciones Locales, asimismo, ha participado en revisiones para la adquisición de Compañías (Due Diligence) e implementación de estrategias fiscales enfocado a sueldos y salarios. Español como lengua materna y manejo del idioma inglés

Mr. Padilla is a highly experienced tax and customs consultant and barrister who has focused on tax planning and consultancy in different tax and customs matters. He has acted as a key consultant in Mexico and USA for the automotive business to improve the tax burden in processes of manufacture, import and export products of his clients. Mr. Padilla is an expert negotiator with tax and customs authorities.
His expertise includes the design of schemes in tax burdens, tax and customs audits attention, tax refunds, special authorizations granted by customs and tax authorities, free trade agreements, as well as administrative, customs and tax litigation.
He has coordinated several amparo trials against the provisions of the New Income Tax Law (social security contributions and inventory cost), Federal Tax Code (electronic accounting records), Special Tax on Production and Services (high caloric food), Local Taxes on sale of assets and registry fees, including administrative fines.
His relevant practice includes, among others, obtaining authorizations in Mexico for the operation of a strategic warehouses for Mexican corporations and the release of seizure of different goods in coordination with the USA authorities within the proceeding and with the evidence provided in the Customs Law, without filing administrative appeals.
LLM graduate from the Universidad Panamericana with specialization in Tax Law and Bachelor’s degree in law from the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City. He has participated as speaker in the Public Institute of Accounting, the United Kingdom Embassy and National Counsel of Manufacturing Entities.
He is a native Spanish speaker and fully proficient in English language.
